15 Renowned Characters Played By Multiple Actors Throughout The Years

It’s not easy to make a famous character on stage, in a movie, or in a book that sells many copies. But some actors were “born to play” their most famous roles. They fit their roles so well that we can only call it a miracle in these situations.

Legendary roles like Rocky Balboa, Indiana Jones, and The Terminator left us with deep feelings while we watched them, making them irreplaceable to the general public. Even though it’s almost impossible to play these characters again, many talented actors were able to do it.

As the years go by and more people are born, more movies are made about these legendary characters. So, an actor can’t play the same role repeatedly. That’s not possible.

There have been prequels, sequels, and even fresh starts. For example, Cesar Romero played the Joker in the 1966–1968 Batman TV Series, Jack Nicholson played him in the 1989 Batman movie, and Heath Ledger played him in The Dark Knight (2008).

This list shows how characters from some of our favorite movies and TV shows have changed over time.
