9 Best ‘Friends’ New Year Episodes To Watch Today

‘Friends’ was undoubtedly the best Sitcom of its time and still ruling screens.it’s very difficult to choose the best episodes from the series. But, there are nine “Friends” Christmas episodes. You will probably love to watch it in the new year. It’s finally here!

9. Season 7 – The One With The Holiday Armadillo

We don’t need to remind you that you remember this episode. What could be better than a Christmas episode featuring Santa Claus, Superman, and a holiday armadillo? Nothing. This was probably one of the most memorable episodes because it was so amusing to see Ross, dressed as an armadillo, try to teach Ben about Hanukkah. Chandler is dressed as Santa Claus, and Joey is dressed as Superman. Ross had planned to dress up as Santa, but couldn’t find the right costume, hence the holiday armadillo. Chandler finds the costume and shows up, and we’re still not sure what Joey was thinking with the whole Superman thing, but we loved it! Best. Christmas. Episode. Ever!

8. Season 6 – The One With The Routine

There is no way you could have forgotten about this episode. It includes Joey’s first kiss with his model roommate Janine, as well as our favorite Ross and Monica sibling moment: their New Year’s Rockin’ Eve dance routine for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve party. As usual, we see how hilariously uncool the Gellers were – and still are – and witness one of the best dance routines of all time, which they performed in an attempt to reach the dance podium. Meanwhile, Phoebe, Rachel, and Chandler band together to track down Monica’s Christmas gifts. Overall, this was one of the series’ most memorable episodes.

7. Season 3 – The One Where Rachel Quits

Chandler persuades Rachel to quit her job as a waitress at Central Perk so she can do something she has always wanted to do. Joey accepts a position selling Christmas trees. When Phoebe discovers what happens to the old Christmas trees that no one buys (they end up in the “chipper”), she becomes enraged and tries to persuade people to buy them. To make Phoebe happy, Joey and Monica purchase all of the old Christmas trees and place them in Monica’s apartment (aww!). Phoebe had a wonderful Christmas!

6. Season 8 – The One With The Creepy Holiday Card

This episode most likely contained one of our favorite Ross moments of all time (or not ever but definitely makes our list). Mona, the girl Ross was dating at the time, wanted to send out a Christmas card she made using a photo they took at Rockefeller Center. Ross panicked because it was too soon, but he couldn’t tell Mona, and while having the awkward conversation with her, got even more awkward and ended up giving her the key to his apartment. His expressions said everything. It’s not a big Christmas party, but it’s enough to put Chandler at number four on our list because he realizes how miserable his life would have been without Monica.

5. Season 2 – The One With Phoebe’s Dad

During this episode, the gang throws a party that quickly turns into a summer party due to the radiator breaking and overheating the apartment. Ross and Rachel argue as a result of Rachel’s pros and cons list about him, and Ross becomes obsessed with everything on the list. Phoebe decides to visit her biological father and brings Joey and Chandler along for moral support, but she freaks out at the last minute and never gets out of the car. The Christmas gift exchange, however, was our favorite part, owing to Joey and Chandler. They distribute gifts purchased at a gas station while on the road trip (toilet seat covers, windshield wipers, soda, condoms – a possible list of the worst Christmas gifts ever)

4. Season 5 – The One With The Inappropriate Sister

This episode focused on Rachel’s relationship with Danny, her next-door neighbor, but she discovers that he has a creepy relationship with his sister and ends things. While living with Joey and Chandler, Ross assists Joey in writing his own screenplay, which is extremely amusing because Joey writes it about himself. Meanwhile, Phoebe collects donations for the poor and spreads joy to those who give money. We all remember this scene because she gets into a fight with an elderly woman. Don’t you just adore Phoebe’s antics?

3. Season 1 – The One With The Monkey

During this episode, we meet Ross’s monkey, Marcel for the first time. Monica and Rachel host a New Year’s Eve party, and they all agree not to bring dates. Joey ends up kissing Chandler in one of the funniest scenes. This was a cute episode because they all focused on the importance of being together during the holidays rather than their significant others.

2. Season 9 – The One With Christmas in Tulsa

The last Christmas episode that the series ever gave us should have been a lot more festive than this one. Chandler is stranded in Tulsa for work and eventually quits. He gives the group terrible Christmas gifts that were originally intended for his coworkers (donations in their names to a random Ballet). There are a few amusing moments when the rest of them reminisce about old Christmas memories, but this episode doesn’t scream Christmas spirit.

1. Season 4 – The One With The Girl From Poughkeepsie

This was most likely the least Christmassy Christmas episode ever.

Ross begins dating two women at the same time, one in uptown and the other in Poughkeepsie, and tries to commute between the two to date them both, but fails miserably. Chandler tries to set Rachel up on a blind date and completely botches it. The absolute highlight of this episode, however, was Phoebe’s Christmas song, which included all of their names. You’re probably singing it right now in your head.
