The cast of the iconic 1990s sitcom Friends predicted where their characters would be today.
Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer all revealed where they thought their characters would be now, 27 years after the show first aired, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner.
“I’ve given it some thought. I don’t think it’s good storytelling, but I believe they’re all happy and get together now and then. I don’t think they live in close quarters, “Kudrow remarked.
“In 2021, Joey Tribbiani would probably be braindead,” LeBlanc joked about his character.
“Oh, he’d have ten children!” “Braindead and in the unemployment line,” Perry said in response to Schwimmer’s suggestion about LeBlanc’s character.
According to LeBlanc, Joey is still “trying to make it as an actor.”
“That’s an interesting direction for Joey,” Aniston added to the conversation.
She speculated that Monica, played by Cox, would be a chef.
Cox, on the other hand, had a different idea: “I imagined myself as a competitive mother planning a bake sale or something. Her children are probably too old, but she still wants the bake sale to be a success.”
Perry discussed his Chandler character, stating that he would “be involved in the computer world in some way, but we don’t know why.”
Regarding Chandler and Schwimmer’s Ross, LeBlanc added: “He’d be in charge of his son’s soccer team. Ross would be in charge of the museum, tinkering with the bones.”
“I think everyone is even more excited to have this experience after being locked up in a house for so long and going through this past year, which has been extremely heartbreaking and difficult just to endure,” Aniston said of the reunion.
“I believe it will be an even more welcome time for people to see it,” she continued.
