Next to ‘Friends’ costars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow says she felt like a’mountain.’

Lisa Kudrow has discussed how “Friends” affected her body image and what it was like to compare herself to her co-stars.

On Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast, she described herself as a “mountain” in comparison to co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.

“When you see yourself on TV, you think, ‘Oh, my God, I’m just a mountain of a girl,'” she says. Kudrow reminisced. “I’m already bigger than Courteney and Jennifer — bigger in the sense that my bones are bigger.”
“In comparison to them, I just felt like a mountain of a woman.”

Her body insecurities also led to her becoming “too thin,” according to the 55-year-old actress, who played Phoebe Buffay on the hit TV show for ten seasons.

“Unfortunately for a woman, you look good if you’re underweight,” Kudrow told Maron. “That was the only thing I ever got.”

“And I was always sick when I was too thin. Cold, sinus infection, and possibly flu. I was constantly sick.”

Now, the actress reminds herself that it’s fine to gain weight or have visible rolls, but she admits she’s still fighting an internal battle.
“Then I simply say, “All right.” So, what’s the deal? You’re in your fifties. That’s a positive thing. ‘What makes you think that’s a bad thing?’ “she explained.

Despite her progress, Kudrow recently admitted to “Entertainment Tonight” that she doesn’t watch “Friends” reruns because she “might not like myself.”
