A rematch between Roman Reigns Vs Drew McIntyre from Survivor Series 2020 is needed.

Fans at home witnessed a massive showdown between the company’s two top male champions at WWE’s Survivor Series 2020 PPV as Universal Champion Roman Reigns faced WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in a blockbuster match. The match was well-received, but now that McIntyre & Reigns are on the same brand, WWE should book a matchup between the two on a major PPV.

Their Survivor Series Match Was A Clash Between The Top Face And Heel

At the start of 2020, McIntyre became a massive star by winning the Royal Rumble to a tremendous ovation. Due to the pandemic forcing the world to shut down. McIntyre would win the WWE Title in an empty building at WrestleMania 36. He would reign as WWE Champion, winning the belt twice the next year as the top face on Raw, feuding with Bobby Lashley, Dolph Ziggler, and Randy Orton. It was hard to judge just how well he was doing without a live audience, but he put on suitable matches and looked great as champion.

McIntyre & Reigns Have History To Build From

The 2021 Draft saw McIntyre move over to Smackdown, which many hoped would reset him. As fans had cooled on his face run in recent months. WWE has kept Reigns and McIntyre separate thus far, likely because they will come to blows at some point. If WWE holds off, then the eventual match between the two will feel even more significant. Especially if both men keep picking up wins and each feels unbeatable.

A rematch could save McIntyre’s face run with Reigns.

The rematch between Reigns & McIntyre must take place within the following year. If both men win big at WrestleMania, Summerslam should be scheduled. Over the last year, Reigns has gone through everyone on Smackdown, and McIntyre remains the biggest name on the roster who has yet to defend his title. A match between the most prominent face and heel on Smackdown. On the other hand, it should be saved for a big PPV. And with Reigns locked up with Lesnar at WrestleMania 38, Summerslam is the next natural place for this to happen.
