We Can’t Stop Talking About These 11 TV Moments From This Week

1. First, Netflix began streaming Inventing Anna. The series, created by Shonda Rhimes, is based on the true story of Anna Delvey. An Instagram-famous German heiress stole the hearts of New York’s social scene while also stealing their money. Inventing Anna is based on Jessica Pressler’s excellent 2018 article in The Cut.

2. On Inventing Anna, Julia Garner and Anna Chlumsky, who played Anna Delvey and Vivian Kent, respectively, gave outstanding performances, particularly in the series finale when Anna is sentenced. Vivian realizes she cares for her.

3. In one of the most badass fight sequences in a comic book series, Peacemaker, Adebayo, Vigilante, Harcourt, and John attacked the Butterflies army in the Peacemaker Season 1 finale. But it was at the end of the fight the Justice League appeared. With cameos from Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ezra Miller as The Flash.

4. The season ended on Peacemaker, with Peacemaker saving Harcourt’s life and Adebayo revealing her mother’s entire Suicide Squad plan to the whole world.

5. Gina Torres gave an outstanding performance on 9-1-1: Lone Star when Tommy dealt with Charles’s sudden death on their 15th wedding anniversary.

6. On Euphoria, Rue and Cassie began to face the consequences of their actions. And their mothers were the true stars of the episode. Rue apologized to Ali and moved on while Cassie continued to meltdown over Nate.

7. Finally, on Euphoria, we got the Fez and Lexi scene we’d all been waiting for: Lexi visits Fez, and they watch Stand By Me and sing together. I can’t handle how adorable they are.

8. At Abbott Elementary, Janine realized she and the other teachers didn’t know each other very well. Which made everyone discover that Janine had been dating Tariq since eighth grade. This is also where I’ll officially launch my Janelle James 2022 Emmy Awards campaign for her role as Ava because she’s hilarious in every scene.

9. This week, Peacock began streaming The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. This new series, set in the present day, reimagines the beloved Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as a drama series. Bel-Air follows Will from the streets of West Philadelphia to the mansions of Bel-Air, much like the sitcom. As he makes his way through these two worlds, Will discovers the power of second chances.

10. The first four episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air focused on Will attempting to fit in with Carlton’s friends, Carlton’s ex-girlfriend Lisa, and his new school. Meeting the latest versions of these beloved characters was pure joy.

11. Finally, Dollface made a comeback in Season 2. Jules gets a promotion at work, Madison tries to start a new career. Izzy dates a new guy, Stella opens a bar with Liv, and all of this happens while they deal with turning 30.
