15 Forced TV Couples Fans Didn’t Buy For A Second

We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which TV couples they think have the least amount of chemistry. Here are some of the pairings people just didn’t buy:

1. Ted and Robin from How I Met Your Mother

“She repeatedly told him that she wasn’t interested, the writers made it very clear that they had different priorities and wanted different things, and they were simply forced together to suit a narrative that had been long outgrown. I’ve seen better chemistry in high school theater productions.”

2. George and Izzie from Grey’s Anatomy

“Not only did they always feel weird and forced, but they also changed Izzie from being the best friend who was genuinely concerned about George to just a jealous friend who was secretly in love with him. They just had no chemistry and it was so unnecessary.”

3. Miles and Tristan from Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi: Next Class

“It never felt like they truly liked each other for who they were, just the idea of each other.”

4. Hope and Landon from Legacies

“The show keeps trying to force them down our throats, but the chemistry is just not there.”

5. Jackie and Fez from That ’70s Show

“They made so little sense, and making them endgame was a big middle finger to fans.”

6. Buffy and Riley from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

sub-buzz-2133-1625071252-18.jpg (600×600)
“I know there were many messed-up things about Buffy’s relationships with both Angel and Spike, but they all had chemistry. Riley was so boring. There were no sparks in their scenes together, and even his secrets didn’t make his personality interesting enough for someone as lively, funny, clever, and intense as Buffy.”

7. Guzmán and Ari from Elite

sub-buzz-806-1625071532-8.jpg (600×600)
Unlike Guzmán and Nadia, who challenged each other, had great chemistry, and made each other better people, this relationship was completely awful and dull from start to finish. They had no sparks whatsoever and didn’t even seem to like each other, plus the ship ruined Guzmán’s character development.

8. Nini and Ricky from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

“It just looks like neither of the actors want to be there, and it’s really awkward to watch.”

9. Joey and Rachel from Friends

“Everything begins and stops with Joey and Rachel. Their relationship was totally useless and a waste of time.”

10. Homer and Marge from The Simpsons

sub-buzz-835-1625072033-1.jpg (600×337)
“I don’t know if cartoons can have ‘chemistry’ per se, but if they existed in the real world, their relationship would be a trainwreck.”

11. Joey and Dawson from Dawson’s Creek

“It just felt too forced.”

12. Bellamy and Echo from The 100

sub-buzz-820-1625072442-6.png (592×629)
“Their past should have made it impossible for them to be in a relationship, but somehow the writers chose to go with it anyway. We saw no development, they were boring, and Bellamy cared more about Clarke than he ever did about Echo.”

13. Jon and Daenerys from Game of Thrones

sub-buzz-829-1625072483-15.jpg (600×338)
“They had zero chemistry and their ‘love story’ felt rushed and forced. It didn’t hold a candle to Jon and Ygritte’s relationship, which actually had buildup and tension.”

14. Caroline and Stefan from The Vampire Diaries

sub-buzz-832-1625072519-16.png (591×635)
“It felt like the show just needed Caroline to have a boyfriend and Stefan had been single for so long. I will die on the hill that Caroline should have ended up with Klaus because they challenged each other to be better versions of themselves.”

15. Barry and Iris from The Flash

sub-buzz-2146-1625073435-4.jpg (600×400)
“The show tried to build up the tension, but it’s just not there. Barry and Cisco, on the other hand, would light up the screen!”
