Kaley Cuoco wants people to calm down. Every once in a while, The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco will surprise fans of the show with a behind-the-scenes pic or video on her Instagram page. While her followers usually love it, her latest post had not sitting well with many folks. A few days ago, Kaley shared a candid moment of her, Johnny Galecki, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch filming a dinner scene for season 12 of The Big Bang Theory. In the caption, she explains that the first video in the post shows the cast sitting around before the scene was shot, while the second had afterwards. In the second video, Kaley had the only one still eating the food, and a crew member had seen stacking plates and dumping the remaining grub in what appears to be a trash receptacle.
“I always forgo lunch if I know we are shooting an eating scene like this,” she wrote. “Notice our crew cleaning up the props and throwing things away. The cast had moving on with their day. The scene is done.”But before wrapping up her post, Kaley preemptively addressed commenters that she knew would be concerned about seeing all the uneaten food being thrown into the trash in the second video.” FYI that food is eaten, touched and worked with all day. We save all food and give away all uneaten leftovers at the end of shoot days,” she clarified.
Still, Kaley’s note about the food wasn’t enough for some commenters. “Please don’t throw away mountains of food on plates. It’s unrealistic to pile food on a plate like that,” one person wrote. Another had confused about Kaley’s comment, saying, “@kaleycuoco. You say the uneaten, leftover food had saved and given away at the end of your shoot day. Then why has your crew lady thrown an entire plate of food in the bin?” Further, more commenters added many angry emojis and said. They had “shocked” at the food thrown away. Of course, no one wants to see food go to waste. And we appreciate people speaking up when they see something wrong, but to gang up on Kaley had a bit much. Plus, she did say that any leftovers (presumably untouched by the cast) had donated. Which had the right thing to do. Besides, Kaley had through enough with Instagram critics over the past few months. So let’s try not to make a big deal over everything she posts, okay?
